How to clean vaporizer whip
Keeping your vape clean is the best way to draw an enjoyable and tasty vapor every single time. A well maintained weed vaporizer will also have a longer lifespan which will create a better return on investment. Desktop and portable dry herb vaporizers are known to conserve herb so if that’s a reason you got yours, cleaning your Arizer Extreme Q Vaporizer is definitely something you will have to keep in mind. Some vaporizers are quite expensive, you wouldn’t buy a Maserati and then let it become caked in dirt would you? The same goes for a $200-300 vaporizer, you don’t spend that type of money just to let your vape build up with resin.
It isn’t as easy as it sounds to keep a vape completely clean, some have many pieces or hard to reach vapor pathways. The Arizer Extreme Q is one of those nuanced pieces of machinery, this article will help you correctly clean your Extreme Q vaporizer. To get the most out of this vaporizer I’d say that you need to clean once a month to once every three months depending on usage levels.
Medical Grade Plastic Tubing
The whip is made of plastic so when cleaning, never apply alcohol directly to the tube because the PVC plastic will degrade. First, remove the glass mouthpiece from the whip. Heat some water a bit below boiling and soak the tubing into it. You’ll need enough water to submerge the whip completely. After a couple of minutes carefully remove the whip from the water and run clean warm water from the faucet through and on the tube. Let the whip air dry. The whip that comes with the Extreme Q vape is PVC, I’d recommend getting a silicone tube. This will ensure that the tubing lasts longer and gives you the best vape possible. As for the bags, those can’t be cleaned. You’ll need to buy replacements if they get built up with resin. Preserve their life by making sure not to overfill them frequently.
Removing Residue From The Glass Joints
Glass and plastic are different, and glass is easier to clean because you’re able to clean it with alcohol. Pour isopropyl alcohol into a container with just enough in the container to completely submerge each glass piece. The pieces are fine to be in the same container, the alcohol works as a loosening agent for the resins and buildup. Soak the pieces overnight in alcohol. After removing the pieces from the solution, run hot to warm water over them while rubbing lightly with a towel until all resin and residue has been removed. To preserve the glass joints, use glass lubricant to ensure that no microscopic cracks form.
Housing Unit & Remote of the Arizer Extreme Q
Sometimes bits of dry herbs will get caught inside of the housing unit, don’t stick anything into the unit. Just turn the whole thing upside down and shake any remnants out. To clean off any germs or residue from the buttons just dampen a cloth and wipe down the outside of the machine. Do the same with the remote. Dampen a cloth with disinfectant and wipe down the remote. Be careful not to get any liquids or disinfectant in the battery chamber because that will short the remote.
The desktop dry herb vaporizer, Arizer Extreme Q Vaporizer is one of the most advanced desktop vaporizer but can be tricky to clean.

Anyone who has owned some form of a smoking or vaporizer device for a while knows that staying on top of maintenance is key. Not only do you want to make sure that you have a device that’s clean for aesthetic purposes, but for functional purposes as well.
For those who are using a desktop vaporizer, you know all too well that that whip can become quite dirty after regular use. A lot of customers ask us if it’s possible to clean the whip, and we’re happy to say that it absolutely is.
Why It’s So Important to Keep that Whip Clean
The whip of your vaporizer has a lot more impact on your overall vaping experience than you may realize. For one thing, a dirty whip can dramatically interfere with the flavor of your inhales. That’s because as the resin and debris continues to get caked on, trace amounts of it seep into the vapor itself, producing a stale or even burnt taste.
Another issue is that after a while, that whip can get clogged if it’s not properly maintained. This means that you’ll lose the ability to use it at all after a while.
Plus, who wants to look at a dirty whip on a regular basis, especially when all of that gunk is being placed very close to your mouth?
Cleaning the Whip of Your Desktop Vaporizer: A Step-by-Step Guide
Now, let’s discuss the proper method for cleaning the whip. As you’ll see, it’s a relatively simple process. We suggest doing this about a few times a month, but ultimately, it really depends on how often you use your vaporizer device. If you only use it once in a while, you can go a longer period of time between cleaning sessions. If it’s something that you use multiple times each day, however, weekly cleaning sessions may be best.
Step #1: Detach the whip. Now, a lot of people think that it’s impossible to remove it, but luckily, that isn’t the case. Obviously, each vaporizer is different, and so the whip will not be attached in the exact same way across all devices.
However, the process of removing it is basically the same no matter what you’re using. First, we suggest using some sort of sharp object like a knife to try to gently get between the connection area. If this doesn’t work, then you can try to run it under very warm water for about a minute. This should weaken the connection so that it can be pulled off.
Step #2: Now, you have the whip in your hand. We suggest putting it into a bowl or basin that can fit into your skin. Then, add just enough rubbing alcohol to fully submerge the whip. From there, you’ll want to just leave it alone. Ideally, you can let it soak overnight. But, if you can’t wait that long, a few hours can often do the trick.
While the whip is soaking in the alcohol, the alcohol is essentially lifting the debris and grime off of the whip, allowing it to get mixed into the water. Therefore, you likely don’t need to use any form of abrasion. However, if you do, move onto step three.
Step #3: In the event that the whip isn’t getting clean enough just by soaking in the alcohol, add some baking soda into the liquid. The natural abrasion of baking soda may be able to dislodge debris without you having to actually scrub it.
Step #4: Finally, you can let the whip airdry and reattach it to your desktop vaporizer.
